Integrating design thinking into instructional design: The #OpenTeach case study

Online education is becoming the norm in higher education. Effective instructional design methods are required to ensure that “ever-connected” students’ needs being met. One potential method thinking: an agile methodology stresses importance of empathy with student. The #OpenTeach fully online course was designed using thinking principles and delivered Spring 2020. This article reports on a case study which focused use develop course. five iterative stages (empathy, define, ideate, prototype test) were integrated into development materials. findings this indicate process may be used by designers achieve their learners, will learners successfully engage learning objectives course.
 Implications for practice or policy:
 
 A rich successful integration within teacher project valuable educationalists who wish follow user-cntred empathetic approach.
